Tornado protection

My project is about how trees effect damage to a house during a tornado.
Is planting trees in front of a house to prevent tornado damage a good idea? What could go wrong with it?

It sounds like this is the question you are trying to answer with your experiment. But, some background research is always important. The question of whether trees around a house is helpful or harmful is something that a lot of people have thought about, especially given all the large storms we have had in recent years. A Google search for "trees hurricane protection" brings up a lot of relevant results. Here are a few reputable sources that I found helpful:
