Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hi guys!

I'm thinking of doing the electrolyte challenge for a science project. I need to submit a plan with 5 contolled variables.

So far I have got:

Temperature of fluids
Amount of fluid

Are there any more controlled variables?

Some other control variables would be:
Type of wire (i.e. using a copper wire every time you perform the experiment)
Type of bowl
Voltage
