I'm currently in eighth grade and want to know how I could possibly do my science fair project in a lab or communicate with doctors and spectate information from them so I can better my chances in the science fair and make it to national/international.

Hello,
It is good that you take the initiative to make your science project in a laboratory setting . To answer your question, it depends on the nature of your study. I think the first person you should consult with is your science teacher, because he probably has a better idea on how to obtain local resources. Perhaps, if you can tell us more about your science project, we may be able to help you more.
Best

Hi,
It's great that you want to work in a lab setting! I agree with Pak that you should consult your science teacher first, as he/she likely has excellent advice and/or contacts to help you start off. That being said, you can also conduct some independent research into local student labs--I know there are some that cater specifically to students doing science projects, especially in my area--as well as ask your teacher/mentor about any local high schools or colleges that may assist you with your equipment. I'd be happy to advise you on a number of follow-up steps from there, if these don't work, such as contacting college professors and such (I did this in eighth grade as well! so I know exactly how you feel)

but start off with talking to your teacher and looking into student labs. Let me know how that goes! Also, like Pak suggested, details about your science project would be immensely helpful for us to assist you better.
Hope this helps!
