what would the dependent, independent, and control group be in the procedure of the leaves and lights project from this website?

Hi,
The independent variable is the one that you are controlling...in this case it would be the color of the light.
The dependent variable is the one you are measuring (the outcome)...in this case that would be the chlorophyll content of the leaves.
And for control (I actually say you need two controls here). You should treat one set of plants with white light (which contains all of the colors of the spectrum) and one set of plants with no light (keep it in the dark throughout the duration of the experiment).
