need to keep improving my fitness

Hello all, I have been going to the gym for the last 3 months and my fitness has improved greatly. I was very unfit 3 months ago. At the gym, I've just been doing 45mins-1hr with no running involved. But I want to get to the stage where I can go for a jog / run, outside, for a reasonable length of time. Right now, if I even try to run I can't last for more than a minute. Do I need to keep improving my fitness? Is there any specific ways in which will help me gain the fitness and stamina to start running?

Hi sezukiyaa,
Are you doing a science project about health and fitness? Science Buddies is a forum for help with science projects/related issues, so I'm afraid if not, we unfortunately won't be able to help answer your question. Improving your fitness level is always beneficial, but I recommend you consult your doctor.

Even though this is probably not the most related to science but still related in a way I will answer this.
The best and most effective way to start running is to well, start running. You should probably take it slow at first but build yourself up. Don't push yourself too hard and do what your body can take. (Follow your instincts. If you feel like you need to walk, then walk). The best starting distance is probably a mile. You also need to remember to stretch before and after you run. Nitrogen will get cramped up in your muscles and will cause A LOT of pain.
Hope this helps,
Andrew

A way that I've used is to alternate between walking and running. Start off easy, run for 30 seconds, walk for 30 seconds. Do that on day one. On day two add 30 seconds to both. Like Andrew said, be mindful of your body. When your body says its had enough then stop. Also, remember that running is hard on your joints so be careful and don't forget to stretch and drink plenty of water ( drinking water, especially during the run will help keep the lactic acid in your muscles from building up too much which causes muscle cramps).
Hope this helps,
Steph

Ya, its true. Stretching and drinking plenty of water after that is very important and healthy for your health. Also after stretching, massaging your skin helps to improve the skin tissues. Because stretching and massaging is the simultaneous process for tightening the tissues which helps to reduce the skin related issues. Always have a look to your skin after doing anything as after that any cramps or other issues are able to see.
Now its very easy to massage with cellublue which is just a
appareil cellulite.
