Hi !
I Am Currently Working On My Science Expo Project . My Project Idea Is The Electrolyte Challenge . I Submitted My Research Proposal To My Teacher & She Said That I Need To Find A New Angle For This Topic . I Can't Seem To Find An Angle ... Please Help

Science_tints - In the description of the "Electrolyte Challenge" experiment, you can read an abstract by the author and get a lot of additional detail from the 'background' of the experiment. As part of your doing the experiment you will likely introduce a 'hypothesis' and attempt to prove or support your hypothesis using the 'scientific method'. It would be interesting to see what your 'research proposal' to your teacher was to invoke a suggestion that you should "find a new angle". I don't think that was particularly helpful as feedback or direction. Again, what "angle" or hypothesis were you proposing? Let us know a few more details and perhaps we can help you with some direction.

My Teacher Just Mentioned That The Topic I Had Chosen Had Been Done Too Often & I Needed To Find A New Angle .
My Hypothesis Was That If Sports Drinks Contain More Electrolytes Than Orange Juice Then They Would Be A Better Option Whilst Exercising .
Would Just Testing Various Sporting Drinks Be A Different Angle ?

Science_tints - This experiment discusses, in the abstract, the benefits that liquids with ionic properties (electrolytes) have by being more readily absorbed by the body to replace the salts and minerals shed through natural sweating. This is important during vigorous exercise. This experiment simply provides a measurement basis for identifying those electrolytic properties and concentrations in various liquids. Perhaps you could better explain to the teacher what the experiment does to facilitate that examination of various drinks. If your teacher still thinks it is not the best experiment, perhaps you should consult the Science Buddies site to look for other possible projects. Good luck.
