Hi, im in 9th grade and i was wondering what subjects are helpful to take in high school if i were to pursue the career path of a neurologist?

I suspect you already know this, but a neurologist is a specialized doctor. So, you will need to go to college and get a degree. Then, you will need to go to medical school. After medical school, you would then have a few years of "residency training" in neurology. The first step in becoming a neurologist, then, will be going to college. To do so, you'll want to plan your high school courses on a "college prep" track. In my experience, this usually consists of 4 years of English, 4 years of math, 4 years of science, 3-4 years of social science/history, several years of a foreign language, and a smattering of elective classes. You'll want to take honors and AP classes, if they are available. A guidance counselor at your school can help you with the details of mapping out a course load that will help you be a competitive college applicant.
