How do you calculate the trajectory of a charged particle that is heading towards an area of greater similar charge (infinite mass)
(ie: how it will be deflected)?

Hi JRCBROOLC,
Is this question related to a science fair project? If so, what is the hypothesis you are trying to test? These forums are here primarily to help students, parents, and teachers with science fair projects. If this question isn't related to a science fair project, then your question is more appropriate for other forums on the internet. That being said, this website:
http://chatt.hdsb.ca/~komljenovicm/sph% ... motion.htm explains the motion of charged particles in the presence of an electric field.
