Okay, I've looked everywhere and I figured I would try out this place.... I'm trying to come up with a science fair project on horses and physics.

It needs to be an experimental or engeneering project.

I thought I was on a roll when I came up with the initial and final velocity through the law of conservation of energy for a horse going over a 5ft jump.... and then, I asked a friend if that would work and they said it didnt seem experimental or engenering enough for the project. So.... you see, this is my first year doing a science project. I've been homeschooled for the past 6years and am in 11th grade and now in a private school and being required to do a physics project.

So, can anyone give me some tips please?!?!?!

Hi midnightcavalier!

Plugging "what are science fair projects on horses and physics?" into answers.com, one quickly gets another web site that has a horse and physics science fair discussion. Unfortunately, it does require registration to enter the site.

Some of the thoughts there are:

1. correlation between a horse's height and a horse's jumping ability
2. correlation between a horse's diet and a horse's ability

You might want to see if any of the other sites proposed by answers.com are as fruitful.

The information above is a partial answer. Someone with more expertise in this area may be able to help.
