Hi bandgeek,

How many participants do you need, and what type of survey? Maybe you can pass it around at school, and ask friends to share it as well (like surveymonkey)?

If you need a specific type of participant, I can give you more ideas basedon what you need.

thanks tonya,

But im not in school right now i'm in winter break and it's about surveying non-gamers and gamers. Meaning...first I will survey a non-gamer and see if he/she can correctly identify the stereotype of a gamer in reality. Then, I'll survey a gamer to see if the non-gamer got it right. Finally I'll collect my data and examine the results. Now, all I need it participants! Plus, I need at least 50!

Hi there,

When is your project due? If you still have plenty of time, I agree with what sunmoonstars suggested--once winter break is over, you can survey different students around school. For example, you can ask all the people in your classes to see who are gamers and non-gamers, and then ask them the survey questions that you intended. During lunch or other breaks, you can also walk around campus and find students who are willing to participate in your survey as well. You can also try different teachers to see if they are willing to answer your questions too. This, however, also depends on what you want your survey population to be. Do you only want people of a specific age, or is any age going to be fine?

Good luck!

Hi,

Yes, I am a non-gamer and have a gamer in my household. If you can post the survey questions here, I can have each of us answer them. Will that work?

Otherwise - can you think of another place to find people who are gamers? Maybe stores or the mall, etc?

Tonya,

THANKS SO MUCH! ok I have enough gamers but I need one more non-gamer. I need you to answer by tomorrow. Here is the survey.

1 ) how old do you think a gamer is? an adult? a teenager? or even a child?
2 ) what do you think the majority of gamers are? male, female, or equally?
3 ) do you think gamers care about their physical looks?
4 ) what do you think the body build of a gamer is? fat? average? skinny?
5 ) what do you think the personality of a gamer is? outgoing? middle? or shy?
6 ) do you think gamers have friends other than their ones online?
7 ) do you think gamers have hobbies besides games?
8 ) what types of games do you think gamers play? violent? strategy? puzzle?
9 ) how many hours do you think gamers play a day?

I think gamers are preteens, teens and younger adults. Mostly males that care little about their looks. I usually think skinny, not outgoing, but has many other gamer friends irl.

Hobbies, not usually others but if they do, likely computer related. Game types usually strategy or group online role plays. 20+ hours per week. Hope that helps!
