Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hello(: I'm currently working on a science fair project and have ran into a problem. I cannot find an official balanced equation for the formation of lactic acid anaerobic fermentation. I need to answer this question having to do with the Kimchi Chemistry project that ScienceBuddies has posted. If any one knows the equation, I would be super thankful to know it.

In the lactic acid fermentation process, one molecule of glucose (a six carbon sugar) is converted to two molecules of lactic acid. Note that lactic acid has three carbons, so the reaction splits the glucose molecule in half. The following link shows the equation for the reaction:
