Hi, does anyone know what happen if we all just started using wind turbines as our main source of energy? It's for my science fair and I'd really appreciate it if you can help me out!
Thanks

Hello xrmendoza,

You can get some ideas for evaluating the impact of wind turbines by searching the internet. Try this as a search phrase:
"high school science project to study if wind turbines can replace fossil fuels and solve global warming"

Let us know if this helps and if you have more questions.

Hi xrmendoza,
Thanks for sharing that web link! It is interesting to read the pros and the cons on wind turbines. I noticed that one complaint was noise. That got me to thinking about solar panels vs wind turbines. I'm not sure what the current status of your project is, but you might consider contrasting the feasibility of everyone having solar panels on their house roof vs large scale solar panels vs large scale wind turbines. Many ecologists argue that solar panels and wind turbines should be placed where the environment has already been degraded, for example, our houses!

Let us know if you have more questions and best of luck!
