Laws on embryology testing

Where can I find the laws regarding embryo experimentation on both warm and cold blooded animals?
In the United States, animal research is regulated by the federal Office of Lab Animal Welfare and by the Public Health service Policy on Humane Use and Care of Lab Animals. The Institute for Lab Animal Research publishes the Guide for the Care and Use of Lab Animals (https://www.aaalac.org/resources/theguide.cfm) and that is where you would find information on what you can and cannot do in animal experimentation.
If you plan to use higher vertebrate animals such as mammals in a science project you would have to get approval from an Institutional Animal Use and Care Committee. Most universities have an IACUC to regulate the use of animals in research and you would have to find a mentor willing to sponsor your research and allow you to work in their lab.
The Institute for Lab Animal Research has some guidelines for precollege animal experimentation that you can check (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q ... 7qmvLnerDw) and your high school may be able to get permission from them for you to do certain kinds of experiment.
Invertebrate animals are not covered by the OLAW and PHS guidelines and you might want to consider using insect embryos instead of vertebrate embryos.
