Electrostatics

I am making a project in which i am doing a research on how to attract cotton. i failed in most of the experiments to attract the cotton. can i get some ideas from you geniuses to get to my result? i need to know what experiment will help me to get the cotton attracted or repelled? guys i need serious help. This will be really helpful. reply soon. i need to attract cotton.

Could you post some details about your project and what you are trying to do? What experiments have you done in your attempts to attract cotton? Perhaps with some additional information one of the contributors to the forum can provide some advice to you.

Cotton is not the easiest material to work with electrostatically since it neither gives up nor gains electrons easily. See the link below for a good overview of electrostatics. After checking it out you may have ideas or more specific questions. I'm not saying that it's not doable, but it will be a challenge.
