I was wondering if Soil Scientists study the effect of Manganese in soil?

Yes, it does seem like they can and do! One important aspect of soil science is actually the research of soil systems to further the knowledge of soil, so studying the effect of Manganese on soil definitely seems like the job of a typical soil scientist. Here are some abstracts and articles you can look through if you're interested in other data collected on the effects of manganese on soil, or maybe even if you want to design your own experiment!
