For a project i am doing i need a liquid that can capture energy from the sun and transfer it to metal wires floating in it which need to be heated to 70 Celsius. What liquid fits this bill? obviously it needs to not evaporate at those temperatures and be available to an 11th grader.

TertiusIII - You might consider ethylene glycol (automotive antifreeze). It is readily available although be sure to read the precautions and dispose of it responsibly. Don't allow pets (children) to go near it or ingest it.
