I am doing a science fair project on, "How Does Color Affect Heating by the Absorption of Light." Would an expert mind tell me the independent and dependent variables for my project? I have an idea of what they are, but I am not positive if I am correct. Thank you so much! I really appreciate your help!

Thank you so much! I thought the independent variable would be the color. (each color wrapped around the mason jar) because that is what I change each time. I also thought the dependent variable would be the change in temperatures because that is affected by the independent variable. I thought the control used for comparison was the temperature after each color was tested. Thank you so much! I am so sorry I didn't respond quickly! It would be great if you could answer tonight!
