Hello science buddies, I'm having some complications with my science fair project, https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p002.shtml. I'm currently taking a statistics class and my teacher is requiring me to measure something in this project. It has to be numeric and it can't be how many people I ask. Please help, I need ideas on how to make this project be measured numerically. Thank you for your time. :P

Hello. Studying human behavior is always interesting. So, you are going to survey a number of people on the street while wearing different clothes to see how they react. You should consider:

1. What, exactly, are you going to measure? How do you define "people acting differently?" This will be a subjective assessment on your part. After observing the person's reaction, would you categorize it as friendly, snobbish, providing misinformation, anger, ???. Perhaps research human behavior and how attire can change it (there are resources you can start with on the background tab of the project) to define categories of behavior.

2. After you decide what different clothing types you are going to wear (business attire, casual, sports clothes, pajamas, ???), be sure to ask about the same number of people in each group.

3. As far as measuring numerically, for each clothing attire, you can count the number of responses you get in each behavior category you define (friendly, snobbish, etc). Do these numbers differ between the clothing attires? If so, can you explain the differences based on your background research of human behavior?

I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any more questions. Good luck!

I want to do a project that will open people eyes but I can't think of something my teacher would allow. My project has to be an experiment. I want to do something about how microwaves affects human beings but it keeps being rejected.
