Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I am in 7th grade and have purchased the simple electric motor kit from science buddies. I thought my hypothesis would be about what caused the wire to spin faster or slower. Will I be able to count the rotations or will it spin too fast?

If not, is there a way to measure this without it costing too much?

If not,could you give me some other options for better hypothesis? Could you please get back to me soon so I will not get behind in my science fair project?

There are different options for the responding variable here; you can measure the direction in which the motor rotates or how fast it rotates. If you do the latter, you do not need to give a specific numerical value for the speed. As the example data tables show, you can just say whether it spun slow, fast, or not at all.
