Hello MrYoso,

I’ve seen several science fair projects in which plant growth is evaluated under different growing conditions. Of course in your project the three pots you described represent one way of changing the growing conditions. My first suggestion is that you try searching online for some similar kinds of projects. Reviewing other projects will give you some ideas about how to proceed with your own. One example is described here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ml#summary

You will need some way to monitor or measure the growth of your plants. I assume that you’ll start with seeds. If so, one measurement is to look for signs of germination every day and record the number of days elapsed until germination. Another measurement could be the heights of the plants after germination. You could make these measurements daily or weekly. At the end of the experiment you would compare the measurements for the three different pots.

It will be important to treat the plants in the different pots in the same way. They should all be placed in the same location and be exposed to the same temperature, amount of light and water.

I hope this helps and good luck with your project. Please post again if you have more questions.

A. Norman

Hello MrYoso,

Are you trying to find a topic for a science project related to paper or paper cups?

“Paper” is such very broad area that there could be hundreds of related projects from making paper to using paper to make various things. Links to a few projects related to paper follow. Perhaps one of these will fit with your interests or will inspire some other ideas.
