Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hi, I am really confused about my science report for my project. I need to include Safety Information in my report and my report is on the Stroop Effect. My materials are pretty normal, like a stopwatch, cardstock, and envelopes. I don't really know what to put for Safety Information because I am using paper. And that's not really hazardous, right? I test people with my color cards and see the reaction time. I already have 2, (parent present and eyes straining)but I need a few more. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi! This is a really cool project, congrats on making it this far! This experiment has minimal risks involved, but projects involving human participants are particularly sensitive to safety hazards, no matter how unlikely or minute. Another hazard, to add to your current list, may be mental stress that participants may undergo if they feel pressured (especially if you conducted this experiment with others watching). Participants, especially young children, may feel self-conscious if they have a tougher time naming the colors accurately and rapidly.
