Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

my project is on growing crystals.... I've had some complications, but my teacher won't let me change my topic considering its due next week!
I'm not usually this bad at this stuff, but now it's down to the wire and I have no clue where my projects going...

could someone please give me an idea of what I could do with the crystals , grow new ones, but how do I compare where can I go with this???

Well, 1 week isn't very long for growing most kinds of crystals. You might check out one of the "magic crystals" kits you can buy at toy stores, though. Some of them can grow crystals in as little as 12 hours.
