caption help

mu daughter needs help writing a caption for her project. What can you do to keep cut flowers fresh longer? The picture has the vase, flower and water in it, plus the variable that was added, ex. sugar, aspirin. She has to tell what Is happening in the photo.

The best way of writing a caption is simply to explain what the picture is showing. Do it in a concise way. So for example, a picture that has a flower, vase with water and some dissolved substance in the water, something like "The vase holds the flower with the stem submerged in a solution of ____, ___ grams per milliter of water. Of the flowers tested, this one lasted the longest/died the quickest/lasted about the same as the control. This photo was taken after ___ days."

Something like that.
