Good evening, I am actually a fashion student and know absolutely nothing on science so please excuse me if something I ask is very simple and makes me sound stupid... So I am trying to experiment with cut proof and bulletproof clothing for a collection and I have found research on boron carbide which is used to make bulletproof armor. I know that it is very strong and non-flexible and found another article which says that bulletproof tshirts can be made by using a dissolved black boron solution, dipping cotton fabric into it and baking in the oven. I would really like to test this out but everything I have looked up about a boron solution is very confusing, any information that could be shared on how I can make one would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance

Hi lmurphy6,

Is your question related to a science fair project? This forum is intended for students, parents, and teachers working on K-12 science projects. If you are looking for help with homework or general science discussions there are other sites that should be able to answer you question. Also, you might try looking up the original research work described in the following link as the publication may have more specifics about how the fabric was made.
