Sources of Vitamin C that we are ignorant of

we're having a science fair
and my experiment is about comparing the amount of vitamin C in peel and fruit of 3 fruits (orange,mango and lime)
However, I'm now doing the poster..
I need help building up my conclusion,,,,,,

Hi,

What were your results? Your conclusions have to be supported by your results. For example, if you found more Vit C in the peel of an orange than in the juice then you could conclude that people ought to be snacking on candied orange rind--which actually sounds pretty good!

One question you could ask is: Why do oranges contain vitamin C? Obviously plants like citrus did not evolve in order to provide tasty orange juice for humans, so why do they have Vit C? What does Vit C do in the plant? You will have to do some reading and thinking to come up with an answer to this, but it would make your project more interesting.
