So I have another question. The control in the Leaves and light experiment are the leftover leaves that are not covered by the black construction paper or coloured transparency film.

Hi Steph. The control leaves are those that are covered with the clear films (allows all light to pass through). The leaves covered with black papers that will let no light come through - this is actually a variable condition like the filters.
