Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I am prepping for a local competition, and i really need some ideas in CS or Maths...

I am flushed out of ideas. Completely Blank

This is a YEAR LONG project, so it has gotta be something really good. Many people do averagely in this competition, but i want to stand out. I want to do something, that i would still appreciate 10-20 years down the road...
