Control test for my telescope images project

I am comparing x-ray, infrared, visible light, and ultraviolet light telescope images to each other and what they detect (Variables that might be detected: temperature, chemical composition, wavelength, etc.) I am creating an image for each type from real x-ray, infrared, visible light, and ultraviolet telescopes. Does it make sense to use visual light images as my control (the unaffected test with no manipulation)? This project is more-or-less based on the X-Ray Vision: Seeing Into Space project (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... background) but I had to change it so that it was a testable experiment.
