Hello melanielizabeth and welcome to Science Buddies,
The purpose of the Science Buddies "Ask an Expert" forum is to help students in grades K-12 with their science projects.
Are you preparing to do a science project involving hemodialysis? It will help us help you if you could tell us more about your project and how building a hemodialysis machine would help you in your project.

Hi melanielizabeth,
I am following up on Madeline's reply to offer any assistance that you need for planning a science project.
We do need a little more information about what you are thinking about doing. Are you planning to do an engineering model of a new design, or do you need to do a controlled experiment? I don't believe that we have a project idea on this topic on this website, so your project will be completely original.
Here is the basic guide for doing a science project. You will need to ask a question that can be answered by your project. For an original project, the background reading section is especially important. You need to learn as much as possible about your topic by reading scientific sources so you will be able to design a project that will be unique.
