Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I have found a project that I am really interested in and would like to do as my science fair project, but I am having a little trouble comprehending what materials I will need. The project title is:
"Creating a Kidney: How Stem Cells Might Be Used to Bioengineer a Vital Organ"

The only materials listed are a computer and a lab notebook, but the procedure (I think) suggests that more than that is needed.

Of course, there is still a ton of new information that could be found through lab work and stem cells. However, this project is about using a computer and bioinformatics to organize and analyze data scientists have already gathered through lab work and put on the internet. You have access to the data, you don't need to gather it in the lab!

That's how the project is organized: to help you answer how stem cells might be used to bioengineer a vital organ through bioinformatics.
