Do you have an experiment that involves matter, atoms, or the particle model? We teach 8th grade physical science at our weekly co-op and many of the curriculum's experiments are over the kids' and our heads, using advanced ingredients that are hard to find. Thank you.

Welcome to the Ask an Expert Forums. If you go up to the top left-hand portion of this screen, you'll see a link called, "Project Ideas." If you click on this link, you'll find many good examples of experiments. For states of matter, a typical baking soda/vinegar experiment can work since that involves the solid baking soda and liquid vinegar combining to form a gas. Also, you can just have balloons filled with solid, liquid, or gas and have the kids observe and fill out a chart. Those are only some examples that may or may not work, but I hope that helps! If you still need suggestions, please specify a difficulty level and a budget (if applicable).

Thanks so much for your input! I will check it out. Your ideas are good as well. Thanks again.

Assuming that you are referring to
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p018.shtml, the generic questions are "during circular motion, what is the centripetal force that keeps the object moving in a circular way?" and "Which way will the marble go?" Within the link I posted above, there are questions in the background section.
