Yes, it is possible to create new elements. These are elements that do not naturally occur on earth but have been created in laboratories. You may want to do more research on "synthetic elements" to learn more about the history, naming, and number of man-made elements.

Just to add on to what audreyln said, there are many man-made elements such as
Technetium and Polonium. They are usually called synthetic elements. So far, there have been 24 successfully made synthetic elements.
