How much of the various substances should be put in reaction plate? Directions say scoop and then say to use a tooth pick. This is not very clear as to amount. Please advise.

Hi lgelnett,

I’m assuming that you are working on the project described here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p093.shtml

Small amounts of solid materials should be placed in the reaction plate wells. It’s not necessary to put exactly the same amount of material in each well. Use a toothpick to scoop up some solid material for placement in the reaction plate well. You may find that flat toothpicks may work better as “scoops” than the round kind.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.
