Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I am looking for 7th or 8th grade appropriate informational sites related to the topic of soil bearing capacity. One of the projects listed on your site has intrigued one of my students and he is looking to gather more information but what he has found has been college level information. Please advise.
