I am doing the Lactose, Sucrose, and Glucose Experiment, for testing the sugars in your smoothie. I have looked everywhere for invertase powder. I know science buddies offer it in skit, but I ONLY need that item. So, Can Science Buddies sell it separate ? Is there any other place I can purchase invertase powder? I also found invertase liquid substance...Can I use that instead? Is there a different measuring of liquid, that works the same as the measurement of powder so that the experiment still works?
In need of Help,
Lauren

Hi Lauren,
Carolina Biological is a very good supplier for any organic/biological materials. I found 100g of invertase powder for $25.50 there. If you want to use the liquid instead, then find the concentration of the liquid solution and figure out how many grams of the actual enzyme are in a given amount of the liquid. From there you can just scale the amount of liquid used to the grams of the enzyme needed.
If you can't order from Carolina, then Sigma Aldrich is also a very reliable supplier for chemicals. I found a bunch of options there too.
Here are the links to the sites that you can order invertase from.
