Hello i'm really confused on how to make the equation for the power output in the background for equation 2. I know all the numbers i have to plug in but i don't have a calculator and i 'know how to calculate it. I found an online calculator but it doesn't look like the same equation as showed for equation 2 it talks about something like emitted or emission and that is not in the equation 2. Please help my project is due this Friday thank you so much.

Hi Brittany321,

I’m assuming that you are working on the project described here:

If you have access to spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel you can use it to make your calculations. Or you might use a smartphone calculator app.

I found an online calculator for radiant heat energy per unit area. You enter the temperature you measured and the radiant energy per square meter is calculated. You’d need to multiply this result by the area of your colored paper square to get the same result as with equation 2 in the project background.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.
