[Posting for a parent]

My daughter is currently working on the science project for 8th grade science fair and picked to make a RF meter to check if our cell phones radiate? We purchased 2 RF meters to build from the RF safe site. Unfortunately the two where not the ones noted on the video and after further communication they sent us two that were like the video. After constructing them as instructed per the video, neither one of them work? We then bought a multimeter to check the resistance and it they measured different readings of 0.4999 and 0.5499. We are thinking the meters are defective. My daughter has vested many many hours into this project and I am emailing you to see if you would recommend a site that sells reliable RF meters to build? We are in much need of any advice or recommendations you would have to help to make this project successful.

Thank you for your time

Krista

I am afraid I don't have a site to recommend buying RF meter kit from. Instead, I would like to suggest that they consider using one of the apps that was mentioned in the links under the make it your own section of the experiment:

This way, you would at least be able to make measurements associated with the experiment.
Good Luck!

Quick Update: This will require some serious programming but looks like a legit / viable source:
