DIY Nano composites

Hi,
Is there any way for a high school student to make nano composites out of thermoplastics and nanotubes? Melt mixing seems to be the most appropriate way: just melting the thermoplastic pellets or powdered polymer with the nanotubes, and mixing like crazy, then compressing it with weights. However, I understand that polymer and nanoparticle adhesion does not occur by merely melting and mixing.
I have no access to any labs, but have access to the thermoplastic and nanotubes.
Thank you!
