Is it okay if your manure is not cow manure?

I am afraid you might have a tough time with this experiment with if the manure is not cow manure. You might be able to make it work by adding an extra step. Here's some background readings: (please look under the subheading "Raw Material" and specifically the carbon to nitrogen ratio.)
