sodium acetate crystallization lab

I want to make a sodium acetate crystallization lab, but I cannot find any objectives to set, like the purpose of the lab. Help? I have a document with the experiment and procedure, but i cant find the purpose/objective.

It looks like the experiment you posted came from building "sand castle" experiment.
