Hi
I need help trying to identify the type of servo/motor I would need to raise and lower a helium balloon repeatedly (battery operated). I need the balloon to raise about 5 feet then come down and repeat. Help?
Thanks!

Hi justindjoseph,
Please take a look at the following link:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... tors.shtml
At the end of this page, there's a nice link to two of the vendor that may be of help. I tried this one:
http://www.futabarc.com/servos/servo-wizard.php
I plugged in your application (sounded kind of like a car, and analog modulation, with a 6V upper band on voltage with pretty much everything on the low end of the speed / weight, etc.. and came up with a S3003 standard servo motor.
Unfortunately, I am afraid I don't know if this is applicable without knowing the rest of your circuit design and your goals with the experiment. Please make sure to confirm that this will work with your application.
Good Luck and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help.
Willey

Thanks Willey!
Any chance you'd be interested in some freelance work to try to build this?
IT's for a centerpiece at a wedding. I need 20.
Let me know!
