Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

I am doing a project that involves vector plasmids, and I have determined already that ordering them from a company is the best route to go. The only one I've managed to speak to however, is Thermo-Fisher, and they want to charge $400. What other companies are there? Also, since I am a high school student with no job, do you think I would be able to obtain them for less than $100?

This all depends on what type of vector you want, but prices are usually steep.
