I'm doing the project on Boyle's law and I am confused about what the pressure. What would the pressure be for air inside 30mL syringe that has equalized with the atmosphere? Would it be 1 Pa, or is 0 possible..?

Hi carlosn2010,

I’m assuming that you are working on the project described here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ml#summary

When you set the syringe to the 30 ml mark as described in the project procedure, the pressure inside the syringe is the same as the atmospheric pressure. And atmospheric pressure is about 101,000 Pa or 101 kPa.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.
