Testing Viscosity

In the experiment using marbles to test viscosity, it is recommended to use a 1000 ml graduated cylinder. That seems very big and will take a lot of product to fill it. Can a smaller container be used? Thank you.

Hi kkessinger,
Theoretically, the experiment should still work with a smaller cylinder but the timing will get much more difficult with a smaller cylinder and the data may not be as conclusive.
Good Luck and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help.
