Science_gurl,
ScienceBuddies is here to help people with their science fair projects, not to provide homework help. Please try reading your science text or doing an internet search for information on the nucleus.
This is a Science Project

What question is your science fair project trying to answer? Perhaps I can be of better help if I know exactly what the purpose of the model is.
Looking forward to more detail,

Well i came up with an idea of how to make a nucleus 3D. What i'm going to do is put a hershey kisses in the middle of a cupcake. The icening on the cupcake will be the nuclear envelope. The actual cupcake will be the nucleus. The chocolate kisses will be the nucleolus.
Well we are supposed to be doing a presentation describing the role of your organelle, structure, location, what cells is it found in?, history (who discovered it and when) effects on the cell if destroyed, comparison to an organ in the body, any other important info.
Please help I have no clue about the effects on the cell if destroyed. Is the 3D model a good idea or what

hey science gurl
here is an image of a mammalian nucleus model...visit that site
http://spectorlab.cshl.edu/images/NucleusModel.jpg
after that i suggest you use different kinds of candy m&m's twix skittles, resses cups...bubble gum tape...ets...be creative to represent the various structures...use a styrofoam globe/ball and make a cross section of your model.
i hope this helps...good luck

hey science gurl
i think you may be mistaking nuclearplasm with nucleoplasm
here is a site...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nucleoplasm
it says Similar to the cytoplasm of a cell, the nucleus contains nucleoplasm or nuclear sap. It is envelopped by the nuclear membrane or nuclear envelope. The nucleoplasm is a highly viscous liquid that surrounds the chromosomes and nucleoli. Many substances such as nucleotides (necessary for purposes such as the replication of DNA) and enzymes (which direct activities that take place in the nucleus) are dissolved in the nucleoplasm. A network of fibers known as the nuclear matrix can also be found in the nucleoplasm.
