How is Hydrogen Peroxide prepared in a lab? or how can it be separated?
- i need this information for my science project and it is important to get some information from an expert

Hi,
Sorry for the late response! Hydrogen peroxide, or H2O2, naturally undergoes a decomposition reaction into H2O and O2. The balanced chemical reaction is 2H2O2=>2H20+O2. In order to speed up the reaction, you can add a catalyst (such as a piece of liver). For more information, check out this article:

The procedures for preparing hydrogen peroxide are rather complicated, but this article provides an explanation:

Please feel free to ask any more questions if you need to! Also, please elaborate on your experiment if you would like more specific help on your project.
