Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hi,
In the Science Buddies science fair project "Cabbage Chemistry", how long can are you able to use the Universal Indicator Solution? As I need the solution for another Science Buddies science fair project called "Salt Bridge Over Electrified Waters: How Electricity Changes pH".

Hello there!

Universal Indicator Solution should have a shelf life of 36 months if stored properly. Storage information is below.

"Storage: Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Keep away from sources of ignition. Store in a tightly closed container. Keep from contact with oxidizing materials. Store in a cool, dry, well­ ventilated area away from incompatible substances. Flammables­area. Do not store near perchlorates, peroxides, chromic acid or nitric acid."
