Science Buddies: "Ask an Expert"

Hello,

I'm doing an assessment at school on the effects of pollutants on plant growth. I have chosen vinegar, motor oil and coke as my 3 pollutants. I know what the effects vinegar and coke have on plants, but not so sure about what effect fresh motor oil has on my plant. I have mung beans as my plant. My assessment is due in 2 weeks and I would like to find an answer as soon as possible. Thanks, loads!
