Say for example I collect some soil samples and store them in containers. About how long can I store them? How should I store them? Do I measure the ph of the soil or the water?

Hello Jocelyn,
Welcome to Science Buddies! I believe you are referring to this great experiment here:

I think it would be optimal to collect your soil samples close to when you plan to carry out your experiment. This way you wouldn't have to worry about storing many samples.
In terms of your question about whether you are measuring the soil or the water, I think if you read through the procedure carefully you will find the answer. The procedure can be found here:

Let us know if you have any other questions! Good luck and have fun!

I have decided to change my project. And I was wondering if this would be a good ideas or if it makes sense. (Project due in a week plz help). Do levels of nitrogen mean anything for ph in soil? Is this good or should I change it to something else. Thanks!
