My Science Fair Project: Timed vs. Untimed Tests!

Hello, I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me with creating the steps for my science fair idea. I have the basic structure outlined. I am going to do 4 tests in total with 20-25 of the same people. The first day participants will take a timed math and reading test. The math test is going to be around 2-3 minutes long with easy, but time consuming long problems like 3621+586. I'm having trouble coming up with what to do for the reading section. I was wondering if I should take a passage from the book and have participants answer comprehension questions. The other option would be going for more of a grammar approach and having participants circle which sentence is wrong due to spelling, capitalization, punctuation, etc. The same participants would do the same type of test with different questions but with as much time as they need a few days later.
BTW: I would consider having different participants for each of the tests, but I don't know if I can get 30 or so people in the same age group to do it. It's definitely an option.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the jumble!
